In the event that a resident of the jurisdiction obtains a drinking water connection, electricity connection, telephone or other type of telecommunication connection or other service connection, or any service promotion institution providing such connection or other service connection services, provides or establishes such connection, and the relevant connection has to be obtained or provided underground by damaging a road owned by the Pradeshiya Sabha, it is essential to cover the cost of restoring the damage to the relevant road. The service provider or the service recipient, as the case may be, shall pay this amount to the Pradeshiya Sabha.

Prices
The fee shall be paid as determined by the Pradeshiya Sabha in advance.
Note:
The amount of money to be spent per cubic foot in restoring the road after it has been damaged shall be decided by the Council on the basis of a recommendation made by the Technical Officer, taking into account the type of construction material (tar, concrete, interlocking stone, asphalt concrete – carpet – or other) of the road.
