According to a concept of the new Chairman of the Welimada Pradeshiya Sabha, Mr. Ajith Kumara Dissanayake, with the participation of the newly Selected Welimada Pradeshiya Sabha members and officers of the Welimada Pradeshiya Sabha, a program to collect non-biodegradable waste that has been illegally disposed of within the Welimada city limits has been organized to begin on June 12, 2025 at 9.00 a.m. from the Welimada Fairgrounds.
Accordingly, you are kindly requested to collect non-biodegradable waste from your home and institution, sort it as follows, put it in containers and place it near the Main Road in front of your house. We are very grateful for your cooperation in this regard.
1. Polythene
2. Plastic bottles – yogurt cups
3. Glass bottles
4. Tins
5. Pesticide packaging
Also, activities are planned to clean the banks of Uma Oya on that day.
